Spencer King III MD FACC Chairman, Medical Advisory Group

Dr. King is the Fuqua Chair of Interventional Cardiology at the Fuqua Heart center of Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is former president of the American College of Cardiology and was for many years chairman of the Department of Interventional Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine.  Dr. King’s memberships and professional societies include Master of the American Society of Cardiology, Fellow of the American Heart Association Council on Clinical Cardiology, and Fellow of the American college of Physicians.  He serves on the Editorial Boards of numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.  Dr. King is a member of the Cardiology section of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Chairman of the subspecialty board in interventional cardiology.  He has published over 400 articles, directed numerous symposia and authored six books.  He has been a clinical investigator for many innovative medical devices including other closure systems.
